Is That the Chattanooga Choo Choo

When my husband and I think romantic getaway, downtown Chattanooga Tennessee comes to mind.

Chattanooga in the Fall is just beautiful. The leaves are bright red, yellow and orange, and there is usually enough of a breeze blowing through them to remind you that Autumn has come. No matter where you go downtown, the sight of the leaves swirling lifts your spirits.

Downtown Chattanooga is full of restaurants and novelty shops. You also have coffee shops like The Mudpie and Rembrandts Coffee House. The River Walk provides a nature trail that weaves along the Tennessee River. And as you stroll, it is not uncommon for Chattanooga's Riverboat, Southern Belle, to pass you sounding off her horn. For a romantic dinner cruise, you may just want to make Southern Belle part of your romantic vacation experience.

We like to stay overnight at The Chattanooga Choo Choo Holiday Inn. You can enjoy dining at the hotels Garden Restaurant, have dinner in The Diner Railcar, or be entertained by the unique experience singing waiters provide at The Station House Restaurant.

From standard rooms to hotel suites, or overnight accommodations in the Victorian Train Cars, The Chattanooga Choo Choo has it all. These are just some of the reasons we find Chattanooga one of our favorite romantic getaways.
