I had been dating this man for a month and knew I loved him, but I didn't think he saw it that way yet. So the Halloween of 1995 we both dressed in costumes and attended a party being hosted by the Bulletin Board service we jointly participated in.
We were dancing to The Eagles hit song, Hotel California, and I was softly singing the lyrics. He joined me and it was a moving moment for us both.
Later that evening I admitted I was in love with him and his interest did a complete about face. I had his undivided interest from that moment on, and we were married less than a year later. Second time around for both of us, and we are still going strong today.
That song is our song, and we both respond by singing to it whenever we hear it on the radio or elsewhere. He usually gets a little cuddly and romantic right then, too. Which can be a little awkward when HE is the one driving! And worse when I'm driving! *snicker*
