Eloping To New York

Having spent weeks deliberating how many people we should invite to our wedding, where the venue would be, flowers, cake bla bla bla, Allan suddenly said to me, "write down your romantic ideas". So we both made a list of the most romantic ideas we could think of, and top of both lists was eloping to New York.

And that, was exactly what we did!

We told close family the day before we left, but no-one else knew until we got back.

We had booked a clerk and photographer via the internet, and had our fingers crossed they turned up! We took our wedding clothes with us and the flowers came from a sidewalk stall.

Everything fell into place perfectly, and it was the most romantic day of our lives.

We had written our own vows, it was a civil ceremony. the photographer was our witness and took us on a tour of NY City after the short ceremony, taking pictures in central park, grand central station, brooklyn bridge and even the subway!
